You two definitely need to talk - he SHOULDN'T take his frustration out on you, but maybe he doesn't know what else to do to make himself feel validated. You'll have to try and help him in a calm way. Perhaps yelling at you is easier than admitting how much he's hurt or easier than talking about eventually healing the relationship with his parents.
